Flashback — (22-09-2017)

THE UNKNOWN UNSHOWN
(© Frits Spoelstra/Spectrum - 1987)

I’m floating through the time and space
A tribute to the human race
No way to change the human face
No mind, no brain, just plain old sense
No wall, no pile to stand against

Standing on a desert island
Just a place where you and I stand
Where we will stand untill the end
No hell, no heaven, no place to be
No food, no nothing, please set me free
Let me take the step to nowhere
Let me jump into the unknown
Let me find out there’s nothing there
Except for the unknown unshown
A voice from somewhere said to me:
“You’ll turn into what you will be
Your mind and soul must be set free
No man, no child can help you now
Don’t try to break the sacred vow”

“Your mind must be for everyone
Your world must be without any sun
Just the way the world has begun
No rain, no storm, a silent place
A place for us: The human race”
Let me take the step to nowhere
Let me jump into the unknown
Let me find out there’s nothing there
Except for the unknown unshown
I tried to break the spell away
I tried it each and every day
I know that I’m the one to pay
I got to break the stormy cloud
I scream and yell: ‘Please let me out!’
Let me take the step to nowhere
Let me jump into the unknown
Let me find out there’s nothing there
Except for the unknown unshown
